Thomas Borer: Switzerland Needs New Tariff Strategy
The only way that Switzerland will lower its US export tariffs is by reducing its trade surplus with the United States says Thomas Borer, former Swiss Ambassador to Germany and Founder and Managing Partner of Dr Borer & Partner. Borer says to do this, it should move Swiss gold smelters to the US, invest more in the US pharmaceutical sector, and pledge to buy more American goods such as LNG, arms, and agricultural produce.
